Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you, and will request that you complete our patient intake survey and other necessary forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition as well as insight into some of the factors that may have contributed to your situation. Please fill these surveys out completely, as the data is very valuable to our approach to healing and wellness. You will also be asked to watch a short, introductory video that will explain some of the details of chiropractic care and what to expect in working with your doctor.
Next, you will have a consultation with one of the doctors to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine how chiropractic care might help you meet your goals.
After your consultation, the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic examination as well as testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic and postural tests will be performed as well, using state-of-the art equipment. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent. At the conclusion of this initial appointment you can choose to experience your first treatment.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, the doctor will give you a detailed report of all findings. This is normally done on a second visit, to allow time for all the data to be studied and correlated. The doctor will answer any questions you might have, including:
How can you help me?
How often do I need to come in?
What will my treatment cost?
The doctor will discuss observations made, and will also notify you if your condition might require care with other providers. At this time you will be provided with the recommended treatment and wellness program to meet your needs.
At the conclusion of the Review of Findings, you can choose to move forward with your care. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express questions about the different styles of treatment at any point along the way.
Another key action at this point is to attend our introductory class on Network Spinal Analysis so you can better understand how our chiropractors work and what to expect at each visit. As your body undergoes structural re-alignments, it's important to recognize these changes as progress! We also offer an advanced class for you when you reach that stage of your care.
We welcome your feedback and interest in our unique approach to health and wellness!
Prior to leaving, the doctor will suggest a wellness program for you to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at-home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire, our wellness team will work with you also to establish healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan.
